On Friday, April 28th, at 3pm PT on NBC, Ellen DeGeneres celebrated the 20th Anniversary of
The Puppy Episode. What is that, you ask? In 1997, Ellen “came-out” on her then sitcom called Ellen. For those of you who don’t know about that show, I hope that you had a chance to tune in and learn about it, and find out why it was called The Puppy Episode. For those of you who were around at that time, it was a chance to relive the excitement of that emotional moment. It was the first time the star of any TV show risked it all to finally be who she really was. These days it may not seem like a big deal, but it was ground breaking then.
